Study: People Seek Out Alt-Right Content on Youtube

The democratizing factor in social media is the real driver in the rise of alt-right media. Anyone with a microphone can now become a political pundit, which cuts out the Jewish and corporate ladder climbing that vets for ideology in traditional news and commentary, thus artificially engineering “poltiical correctness.” Munger and Phillips believe that the people watching alt-right videos on Youtube were a pre-existing demographic that never access to media that reflects their experiences until the internet.

An ongoing study by Penn State’s political science department has found that Youtube users actively seek out “alt-right” (defined as white nationalist and anti-Jewish by the paper) media, rather than being radicalized by algorithms.

This fits perfectly with parallel research done by National Justice showing that traffic continues to increase to alt-right websites, even as youth engagement with other types of political media declines.

The two lead researchers Kevin Munger and Joseph Phillips, have criticized the prevailing elite notion that media consumers are passively watching videos until the automatic algorithm takes them down a rabbit hole away from safe conservatism to questioning neo-liberalism, Jewish oligarchs or the racial transformation of the West.

This theory, spread by mainstream media journalists and academics, does not fit with previous models for studying media consumption (pg.12). For example, the advent of cable TV superficially expanded mainstream political discourse in America, but it was in truth far more ideologically limited than written materials like newspapers, newsletters and magazines of the previous generation. Researchers concluded with the “active audience theory,” which showed consumers of cable television actively depoliticized, going out of their way to choose sports, comedy, etc over CNN and Fox News.

Traffic to Alt-Right Videos Down?

The paper is not perfect. Phillips and Munger try to reassure neo-liberal readers by telling them that traffic to alt-right videos on Youtube has been declining since mid-2017, but this leaves out important caveats. The timetable coincides with the beginning of Chinese-style censorship by Google/Youtube in August 2017, when they started putting videos espousing identitarian, pro-Hitler or anti-Zionist views in a limited state.

Two years later, the containment strategy clearly failed, and they have now engaged in outright deleting most of the major “alt-right” channels, and even many alt-right adjacent alt-light ones like those belonging to Gavin McInnes and InfoWars. Of the large “alt-right” media channels (over 10,000 subscribers) listed on the ADL’s list, most like James Allsup, TRS Radio and Red Ice have been completely wiped off social media without warning, despite taking care to not violate any of the companies stated speech rules.

Certain paleo-conservative channels less directly critical of Jewish power, like American Renaissance, America First with Nick Fuentes and Libertarian Stefan Molyneux remain, but it is unclear if this is what the ADL and Youtube are willing to settle for in terms of the limits of political expression. This appears to be an internal debate at the tech monopoly. VDare, a publication that many prominent conservatives like Ann Coulter and Tucker Carlson have associated with, was briefly banned in one of the latest purges, but later reinstated. Other channels that have hosted politically incorrect ideas, like JF Gariepy’s The Public Space, have been largely inactive in the last month due to waves of frivolous strikes and other strategies intended to harass you off the internet.

Missing from the equation however is how users are now migrating directly to websites hosting nationalist content. It’s possible that some of the rise in traffic to alt-right domains is due to Youtube users abandoning highly censored social media sites. The ADL whack-a-mole game will likely now move on to get more domain registrars to shut down publications Jews do not approve of while figuring out a way to destroy free speech holdouts like Epik. This may be a bit trickier thanks to the presence of Russian and Chinese hosts who can use this to point out flagrant American hypocrisy about political liberty. Many dissidents are already using politically freer Russian platforms like V-Kontakte and Telegram, as well as small but growing alt-tech like Bitchute.

Munger and Phillips appear to acknowledge this as well. Their paper states that while traffic to alt-right channels is down, user engagement in comments and so on remains unusually high.

Rather than accepting this new political phenomenon and debating the material conditions causing them, the researchers recommend disrupting independent and dissident political communities.

Conservative Censorship Red Herring

The real debate on free speech has been muddled by Jewish neo-conservatives like Dennis Prager. Certain videos by Prager U, Steven Crowder, and other Zio-Cons are demonetized or age-restricted, but their accounts are not suspended. Prager is now claiming that the Jews who control Google and Youtube from top to bottom are anti-Israel, which is laughable. Channels belonging to pro-Palestinian, pro-Syrian or pro-Hezbollah media bodies are censored as viciously as the alt-right.

The Zionist Daily Wire‘s takeaway from the study is that neo-cons and classical liberals are successfully coopting white dissident energy. They appear happy with the censorship of nationalists and anti-liberal critics because they believe it restores Jewish right-liberal hegemony, but they dislike the small inconveniences of occasional demonetization or flaggings suffered by Jordan Peterson, Dave Rubin or Prager.

There isn’t much evidence to suggest that fans of alt-right content suddenly become Bret Weinstein fans. Alt-Con media, according to our traffic metric review, is also suffering particularly among young people.

By slightly bleeding into Conservative Inc, Silicon Valley and Zionists are able to change the debate away from First Amendment questions to how much money conservatives can make from ad revenues.

The Good News

The positive things to note from the study is that it has become increasingly difficult for mainstream media to deliver plausible, high quality narratives due to changes in the media business ecosystem. A handful of social media sites now monopolize much of the ad revenue, leaving more professional propaganda in the dust.

Bulwarks of liberal legacy propaganda, like Newsweek and the Washington Post, have become totally naked clickbait scams or ham-fisted Pravda run to bolster some narcissistic oligarch’s personal business interests. Meanwhile, advances in technology have allowed independent media to continue to flourish through grassroots patronage.

Inter-Technology Periods and Revolution

With that said, independent media creators must continue to get creative as Zionist groups and capitalists continue to construct the great American firewall.

American history shows that when new forms of communication become widely available, social challenges against corruption and ruling class abuses usually follow until information is reigned in.

The impact of Thomas Paine’s Common Sense  thanks to the widening availability of printing technology allowed anti-Monarchic ideas to be cheaply spread beyond elite intellectual circles, which subsequently inspired the American revolution.

What George H. Douglas declares the golden age of the newspaper, 1830-1930, allowed fresh and radical ideas to enter the mainstream, as seen with the Populist Party and explosion in socialist ideas, before cartelization and money-power erected a paper wall.

In the 1930s, Father Charles Coughlin’s show in the early days of radio, critical of capitalism, Jewish supremacy and war during the Great Depression and lead up to World War II, reached millions. Coughlin was a powerful inspiration for the creation of the America First Committee in 1940, the largest anti-war organization in US history. Eventually Coughlin’s broadcasts and publications were shut down by the US government and radio became monopolized by a handful of Jewish broadcast corporations hostile to his message.

The Brexit referendum and the election of Donald Trump in 2016, while not producing any tangible results, has been a huge, weakening embarrassment for the plutocracy of the West. These events, and the lack of fulfillment of promises to voters, have played a role in discrediting the liberal doctrine globally and cornering elites into using force. Were it not for the common people having a voice on social media, most of the populist insurrections engulfing once “stable” liberal regimes would not have likely been possible.

The era of internet freedom is quickly coming to an end, but much of the damage has already been done.

Which begs the question: what will come next, and will the ruling tyranny survive the next outbreak of dissident ideas?
